Richard Hammond joins the crew of one of the biggest moving objects on earth, the Marie Maersk container ship.

Richard finds out how this twenty-five man crew keeps the supersized ship on the high seas.

Richard climbs inside the enormous engine, helps cast a giant propeller, and docks in Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe.

The loading process is almost fully automated – from container transportation and stacking.

Fully loaded it can hold up to 18,000 shipping containers.

This ship is worth four hundred million dollars and weighs an incredible quarter of a million tonnes.

Remote sensors planted in the ground and containers allow the robots navigate this process.
